The effects of sitting daily for prolonged hours, using computers and working towards strict deadlines are stress, burn-outs, repetitive strain injury. Yoga teaches us to relax the body and when the body relaxes, so does the mind. But the practice is not simply about relaxing; it is also about creating space in the body and strengthening the muscles.
